  Questioned By The Elders. Lawsuit?

  i was dfed for 3 years and could not get back in for the life of me.

  (long story one elder from my committee even held onto my letter and didnt give it to the other elders for 6 weeks) my current wife who i was dfed for back in the day (a few years ago) found out that i was text messaging and calling one of her friends (another sister in the hall) and she is very upset.

  instead of handling it like a family she "eldered up" and i got pulled into the back room with 2 elders.

  Well it sounds to me that you brought this whole situation on to yourself, what kind of action did you expect when your wife found out

  that you have been secretly text messaging another woman who is not your wife. What kind of response do you think what would

  happen if you weren't JWS ? The elders in the JW world play the role of Sheriffs of the County and your wife went to them because your

  behavior with this other woman to her was deemed inappropriate, which from the outside appearances was correct.

  Obviously your wife doesn't think your communication with this other woman is just friendly and platonic, otherwise she wouldn't

  have gone to the elders to discus the situation over with them.

  Sounds to me you got caught with your pants down and now you don't know which way to turn.

  Why wouldn't you retrieve the messages if there is nothing damaging in them, just to show your wife that your not flirting and

  carrying on with someone else ?

  Anyways I'm not too sure why you've come here, the most notable anti-JW site around to discuss this personal matter with absolute total

  strangers, personally you come off like your mentally off your rocker.

  Yes, he contracted most of the work through the Carpenters Union Local 138, when the ark was finished

  they all thought they were all going to board the ark with Noah and his family, but when the rain started they all lined up

  at the entrance door when they were surprised to see the door start to close and Noah standing there saying

  I lost my mother awhile back for not taking a blood transfusion, so I'm familiar what kind of anguish this can cause.

  This man made cult is inappropriately cruel and inhumane in these situations.

  Full of their pent up formulated power and pride, they have caused many folks illness and death directly because of them.

  Whatever happen to following Jesus's example in loving and caring for the sick and his greatest commandment to love one another.

  Then again this is just one of their doctrinal screw ups like organ transplants and vaccinations, the only difference in this one is

  they cant recede this one because of the many impending law suites that would be levied upon them and it would intensionally

  crack their image of them being god's solemn organization.

  Call it the rules of religion.

  WT: mainstreaming, becoming more cultish, or disappearing?

  is the wt mainstreaming into a more normal religion, is it tightening its grip, or are its leaders preparing to take the money and run, leaving its followers high and dry?

  I believe too that the inter-net is kicking at the shins of the organization doing its appropriate amount of damage

  that they can not control, therefore the weakening off of demands by the followers.

  It seems the inter-net has been doing a good job of reveling the cultish behavior by its leaders, the

  information is all there for all to take in and analise. Perhaps it was because of the strong commercial aspects of

  the religion from the from its beginning, that today make most of their doctrinal policies appear weak and unsubstantiated

  and the net as I say is exposing those weaknesses in a very damaging way.

  just thinking back on my own family that started with the jws in the early 50's, .

  both of my parents came from different religious backgrounds one was catholic and the other a anglican.. what probably sparked my mother's attention, who was the first to be in contact with a jws, .

  was of course the destruction of the system of things and a new paradise for those that god approved.. and i'm guessing that this what catches most peoples attention just as it did to my mother.. i'm also assuming that this is most likely what grabs other people as well.......any comments ?.

  I guess there is that wanting connection to be close to god , for what ever reason, spirituality, power, guidance from a higher power and so forth.

  The JWS are quick to imply to the newly interested ones that the Armageddon is impending soon so its important for all to be in his approval and

  the most obvious thing to do to be in his approval is to join the JWS and in short time to be baptized.

  Fear does play a role in the process of culling followers.

  Reminds me those WT and AW magazines with pictures of buildings falling on to people and flames from the skies

  burn people to death. Fear , fear and more fear its no wonder they're a lot of JWS who suffer from depression and other

  psychological ailments, pushing people to suicide.

  It appears that most people who were never born into the religion, more than likely entered into it

  in their young adulthood and just for the many reasons that you folks have mentioned.

  It most likely seems inviting to people to have a free home bible study and of course it has something

  to whom and how the invitation was presented at the door. As for my mother she was most likely taken by

  by the nice elderly lady, who was quite friendly to her and then the magazines did the rest of the work.

  I guess there are a number of reasons why people join the JWS and stay as long as they do.

  My father for example has been going steady now for some 57 years now, thats a lot of meetings and allot

  Saturday morning service outings...........Sheesh
